Your work will ensure compliance with safety cases and contribute to the safe and effective operation of nuclear facilities - a role that truly makes a difference to national security and public safety.Day-to-day, you’ll provide technical configuration and administration support to the governance of activities within the Plant Management Group<ul><li>Manage and co-ordinate Facility Procedure Authorisation Group meetings, documentation and configuration.</li><li>Supervise configuration and due process activities for the Radioactive Waste Management Plant Management Group.</li><li>Administer configuration tools to support governance activities.</li><li>Champion accurate record retention to ensure safe work and compliance.</li><li>Provide advice on due process and reviews to maintain regulatory standards.</li></ul>This role is full time, 35 hours per week and provides hybrid working arrangements with days in the office/onsite and days working from home.Essential experience of the Configuration Engineer<ul><li>Excellent communication skills at all levels.</li><li>Strong organisational skills with the ability to prioritise.</li><li>Ability to work independently with a flexible attitude.</li><li>Experience in a high-hazard or highly regulated industry (advantageous).</li></ul>Qualifications for the Configuration Engineer<ul><li>ONC (or equivalent) essential.</li></ul>Security ClearanceThe successful candidate must be a sole UK national who is able to achieve and maintain Security Check (SC) / Naval Nuclear Propulsion Information (NNPPI) security clearance for this role.Many of the positions within our company are subject to national security clearance and Trade Control restrictions.
