You’ll be at the heart of delivering complex engineering projects that support the UK’s submarine fleet. You’ll be part of a dynamic environment where your expertise will shape the future of naval engineering and accelerate your career development.Day-to-day you’ll be required to:<ul><li>Lead, manage and mentor Project Engineers to ensure successful project delivery</li><li>Guide teams in developing and maintaining project schedules aligned with Babcock’s Project Delivery Framework</li><li>Develop and refine PEPS processes and procedures to support engineering task execution</li><li>Coach engineers to meet planning and quality standards</li><li>Break down engineering tasks to build and maintain Project Management Plans across multiple submarine systems</li></ul>This role is full time, 36 hours per week and provides hybrid working arrangements.Essential experience of the Senior Project Engineer <ul><li>Proven expertise in managing complex Fleet Programmes projects</li><li>Skilled in coordinating multidisciplinary engineering teams</li><li>Strong knowledge of submarine systems and engineering principles</li><li>Familiarity with customer systems such as RDAR, UMMS, SDD, Trilogy, CWE, and Survey</li><li>Experience with Planning Estimating and Production System (PEPS)</li></ul>Qualifications for the Senior Project Engineer<ul><li>HNC in Engineering or equivalent experience</li><li>Apprenticeship in Engineering or equivalent experience</li><li>ILM Level 3 or equivalent</li><li>APM Project Fundamentals Qualification (PFQ)</li><li>Training in Resilience and Wellbeing</li></ul>Security ClearanceThe successful candidate must be able to achieve and Security Check (SC) security clearance for this role.Many of the positions within our company are subject to national security clearance and Trade Control restrictions.
