The role

As a Social Impact Lead, you'll play a key role in shaping and delivering meaningful social impact initiatives that support our business objectives, strengthen community partnerships and enhance our reputation across the region.

Day-to-day, you’ll be required to:

  • Leading the design and delivery of project-specific Social Impact Plans and associated campaigns aligned to regional priorities.
  • Building and maintaining strong relationships with charities, voluntary organisations, community groups and other key stakeholders.
  • Providing expert advice and support on stakeholder engagement and social impact initiatives across the business.
  • Monitoring, measuring and reporting social value activities and key performance indicators to demonstrate impact.
  • Delivering effective communications through newsletters, social media, events and other engagement channels in collaboration with communications colleagues.

This role is 37 hours per week based in Moor Row, Cumbria. Flexible working patterns are available, and you will manage your diary in line with stakeholder engagement activities and external visits.

Essential experience of the Social Impact Lead:

  • Demonstrated experience working within a social impact, communications, public relations, media or marketing environment.
  • Experience of building productive relationships with a broad range of internal and external stakeholders.
  • Knowledge of social impact metrics and measuring social value outcomes.
  • Experience using a variety of multimedia and communications tools.
  • Understanding of social impact priorities and community needs within West Cumbria.

Qualifications for the Social Impact Lead:

Security Clearance
