The role As a Senior Buyer, you’ll have a role that’s out of the ordinary. Your expertise will directly contribute to reducing costs, enhancing supplier performance, and delivering value across high-profile projects in the UK and internationally. Day-to-day, you’ll play a key role in driving procurement excellence, leading supplier relationships, ensuring we meet our customers’ needs with precision and efficiency.&nbsp;<ul><li>Act as the focal point for internal customers to define materials and services spend requirements for designated projects</li><li>Manage the Purchase Order process</li><li>Deliver operational excellence and reporting</li><li>Personally lead major supplier relationships dealing with performance issues to conclusion</li><li>Help develop the pipeline of future opportunities, harnessing relationships with key support partners</li></ul> This role is full time 37 hours per week and requires regular travel to Ashton Vale, Bristol on a monthly basis alongside home working arrangements.&nbsp;Essential experience of the Senior Buyer<ul><li>Proven experience in a procurement role ideally in a Defence or Engineering environment</li><li>Track record of building relationships with internal and external stakeholders</li><li>Must be able to demonstrate excellent Supplier Relationship Management skills</li></ul>&nbsp;Qualifications for the Senior Buyer<ul><li>A recognised degree level qualification and/or relevant engineering/supply chain/lean culture experience is advantageous&nbsp;</li><li>Membership of a relevant professional body e.g. CIPS is advantageous&nbsp;</li></ul> We value difference and don’t have a fixed idea when it comes to background or education, provided you can show the required level of experience and/or willingness to learn then we would like to hear from you.
