If you join us, you can play your part as a Buyer at Ruislip, near Hillingdon, Greater London.The role As a Buyer, you’ll play a pivotal role in delivering procurement solutions that support the ongoing asset replacement and maintenance of specialist vehicles and equipment for a critical services customer in the London area. This is a fantastic opportunity to make a real impact in a dynamic and fast-paced environment, while developing your career in defence, aerospace and engineering—a sector that’s not only exciting but vital to national security and public safety.Day-to-day you’ll be: • &nbsp; &nbsp;Managing the procurement process from requisition to delivery, including tendering and spot buying • &nbsp; &nbsp;Preparing and issuing requests for proposals / requests for quotation, drafting requirements, evaluation criteria, and contract terms • &nbsp; &nbsp;Negotiating contract terms and managing key supplier relationships • &nbsp; &nbsp;Ensuring compliance with internal governance and customer regulatory requirements • &nbsp; &nbsp;Leading process improvements to drive efficiency and compliance across procurementThe base location is Ruislip but flexible hybrid options are available to suit individual needs.&nbsp; Monday to Friday, totalling 37.5 hours per week.Essential experience of the Buyer: • &nbsp; &nbsp;Proven experience in procurement or acquisition of goods and services • &nbsp; &nbsp;Strong understanding of supplier contracts and negotiation strategies • &nbsp; &nbsp;Commercial awareness and experience in a business environment • &nbsp; &nbsp;Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills • &nbsp; &nbsp;Ability to manage priorities and delegate effectivelyQualifications for the Buyer: We value difference and don’t have a fixed idea when it comes to background or education, provided you can show the required level of experience and/or willingness to learn then we would like to hear from you.Security Clearance The successful candidate must be able to achieve and maintain Security Check (SC)&nbsp;security clearance for this role.Many of the positions within our company are subject to national security clearance and Trade Control restrictions.
