You’ll lead a dedicated team managing two in-house defined benefit pension schemes. This is a role where your expertise will make a real difference ensuring compliance, improving processes, and delivering exceptional service to our members. You’ll have the opportunity to influence change, develop your leadership skills, and contribute to a business that supports national security and infrastructure.Day-to-day you’ll be required to:<ul><li>Oversee the daily operations of the pensions administration team, ensuring workloads are balanced and service levels are met.</li><li>Provide guidance, mentoring, and support to team members, including performance reviews and development plans.</li><li>Ensure all administration activities comply with scheme rules, pensions legislation, and internal policies.</li><li>Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and member experience.</li><li>Act as the first point of escalation for complex queries.</li></ul>This role is full time, 36 hours per week Monday to Friday and provides hybrid working arrangements.Essential experience of the Pensions Team Leader:<ul><li>Proven experience administering defined benefit pension schemes.</li><li>Previous people management experience, including coaching and workload planning.</li><li>Strong working knowledge of pension legislation and relevant tax rules.</li><li>Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage competing priorities.</li><li>Effective communication skills.</li></ul>Qualifications for the Pensions Team Leader:<ul><li>We value difference and don’t have a fixed idea when it comes to background or education. If you can demonstrate the required level of experience and a willingness to learn, we’d love to hear from you.
