Warehouse & Trade counter operative

About the Role

We are a small, family-run business based in Maidstone, Kent, operating an online retail website with all orders fulfilled from our own warehouse. We also have a busy trade counter, supporting both retail customers and our in-house field engineers who work on domestic and commercial installations.

This is a varied, hands-on role that combines warehouse duties, customer service, and stock control.

Key Responsibilities

Picking, packing, and dispatching orders from our Maidstone warehouse

Assisting customers at the trade counter during their visits

Supporting field engineers with parts and materials

Operating a forklift (training can be provided if required)

Using basic computer systems to assist with tasks such as monthly stock takes and inventory control

Maintaining a safe, tidy, and well-organised warehouse environment

Skills & Requirements

Good customer service skills and a helpful attitude

Willingness to learn forklift operation (licence not essential)

Basic computer skills

Reliable, organised, and able to work as part of a small team

Physically capable of warehouse duties
