The role

As a Supply Chain Specialist, you’ll have a role that’s out of the ordinary. You’ll have a role that’s both meaningful and rewarding. You’ll support the effective procurement and delivery of bulk materials and services, contributing directly to one of the UK’s largest and most important nuclear infrastructure programmes.

Day-to-day, you’ll be required to:

  • Support end‑to‑end procurement activities, including market engagement, tendering, negotiation and contract award
  • Prepare tender documentation, evaluation reports and contract documentation in line with governance and commercial strategy
  • Collaborate with engineering, project management, finance and wider stakeholders to deliver effective supply chain solutions
  • Identify and manage commercial and supply chain risks, resolving issues and supporting dispute resolution
  • Maintain accurate procurement, supplier and contract records across relevant systems

This is a permanent, full‑time role working 37 hours per week, Monday to Friday, based at Aztec West, Bristol. Hybrid working patterns are available. You will be working a minimum of two days per week on site.

Essential experience of the Supply Chain Specialist:

  • Experience in a procurement, commercial or supply chain role within a project or operational environment
  • Proven ability to work collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders
  • Strong communication, negotiation and organisational skills
  • Experience managing competing priorities in a structured, compliant environment
  • Knowledge of supply chain governance, risk management and ethical procurement principles

Qualifications for the Supply Chain Specialist:

  • Degree or professional qualification in supply chain management, procurement or business or qualified by experience
  • Membership of, or working towards, Chartered Institute of Procurement and Supply or equivalent is advantageous
  • Familiarity with NEC contract forms would be beneficial

Security Clearance
