The role

As a Project Controller, you’ll have a role that’s out of the ordinary. You’ll be at the heart of our Marine Programmes bid team, driving performance and governance across project controls. This is a unique opportunity to influence high-impact defence projects, ensuring they are delivered with accuracy, efficiency and strategic oversight. Your work will directly contribute to national security and global stability, while accelerating your career in a dynamic and purpose-driven environment.

Day-to-day you’ll be:

  • Supporting bid development through integrated project controls across planning, estimating, cost and risk management
  • Creating and owning key documentation including Schedule Management Plans and Project Controls Plans
  • Liaising with stakeholders across departments to ensure timely approvals and alignment
  • Managing performance metrics and spend analysis to support governance meetings
  • Ensuring project control inputs and outputs meet assurance standards

This role is full time, 36 hours per week Monday to Friday and provides hybrid working arrangements.

Essential experience of the Project Controller

  • Experience across one or more project controls disciplines
  • Strong understanding of cost control, earned value, scheduling, change, risk and estimating
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Proficient in data analysis and reporting
  • Skilled in stakeholder engagement and relationship management

Qualifications for the Project Controller

  • APM PMQ or equivalent qualification

Security Clearance

The successful candidate must be able to achieve and maintain Security Check (SC) security clearance for this role.
