The role
As a Procurement Project Manager, you'll play a key role in supporting the delivery of one of the United Kingdom's most significant clean energy infrastructure programmes, Sizewell C. Working within a multidisciplinary project team, you'll lead the development and delivery of procurement strategies and plans that support the successful delivery of a major piping programme.
This is a permanent, full-time role working 37 hours per week based in Bristol. Hybrid working patterns are available, and occasional travel to customer sites will be expected.
Day-to-day, you’ll be required to:
- Leading the delivery of procurement strategies and plans to support the successful delivery of the Sizewell C piping scope.
- Collaborating with project management, engineering, procurement, project controls and quality teams to achieve programme objectives.
- Managing interfaces with major engineering, procurement and construction contractors, suppliers and project stakeholders.
- Supporting the development of delivery plans that optimise safety, schedule performance and project costs.
- Identifying project risks and supporting the implementation of effective mitigation and risk management strategies.
Essential experience of the Procurement Project Manager:
- Previous experience working in a project management and procurement-focused role.
- Experience using NEC contracts and CEMAR contract management systems.
- Experience managing and coordinating major engineering, procurement and construction contractors and supplier relationships.
- Experience developing strategies that support health, safety and environmental risk reduction, schedule optimisation and cost efficiency.
- Experience identifying project risks and supporting the development of risk assessments and mitigation plans.
Qualifications for the Procurement Project Manager:
- Degree qualified in Engineering or equivalent relevant industry experience.
Security Clearance
