The role
As a Lead Auditor, you’ll have a role that’s out of the ordinary. The Central Quality Department’s main function is to deliver cross site management system audits, providing an independent opinion on internal control procedures by reviewing records, reports, operating practices, and documentation.
Day-to-day, you’ll support our Central Quality Department by delivering audits aligned with the Audit Programme, while also providing expert guidance on Quality Assurance matters across the business.
- Design and implement independent assurance activities for the business and then support, agree and monitor the implementation of corrective actions
- Undertake and lead internal audits and review findings of audits and report to the organisation on levels of compliance recommending corrective action as appropriate
- Participate in and facilitate improvement initiatives and ensure actions address root causes of issues identified and timely report on the findings
- Interpret and communicate any changes to standard that could affect the Business Management System
- Liaise and assist with certification bodies and customer representatives during external audits
This role is full time, 35 hours per week and provides hybrid working arrangements. The role is a fixed term contract for 52 weeks.
Essential experience of the Lead Auditor
- Proven expertise in ISO 9001, ISO 14001 and/or ISO 45001 standards
- Strong background in CAPA, root cause analysis and verification
- Experience as an internal or lead auditor
- Understanding of change management and continuous improvement
- Familiarity with business management system arrangements
Qualifications for the Lead Auditor
- Lead Auditor Qualification or Internal Auditor Qualification
