The role

As an Immediate Emergency Care Trainer, you'll play a vital role in developing the capabilities of emergency service personnel through the delivery of high-quality training programmes. This is an opportunity to make a real difference by helping learners build the knowledge, skills, and confidence needed to respond effectively in critical situations.

Working within our specialist training team, you'll deliver and assess Immediate Emergency Care and Advanced First Aid training to agreed standards while contributing to operational readiness, safety, and compliance across our customer base.

Day-to-day, you will be:

  • Delivering Immediate Emergency Care and Advanced First Aid training to learners across a range of programmes.
  • Teaching small and large groups in line with approved training syllabuses and industry standards.
  • Assessing learner performance and providing support to help achieve successful course outcomes.
  • Maintaining accurate training records, reports, and associated documentation within required timescales.
  • Representing Babcock professionally while promoting safe, effective, and engaging learning environments.

This role is based on site at Beckton, London, working 37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday, with occasional weekend work. Travel to different locations across London will be required as part of the role.

Essential experience of the Immediate Emergency Care Trainer:

  • Current and comprehensive knowledge of Immediate Emergency Care clinical techniques as practised by the London Ambulance Service and London Fire Brigade.
  • Experience delivering, coaching, or assessing training within a clinical, emergency services, healthcare, or related environment.
  • Strong communication and presentation skills with the ability to engage diverse learner groups.
  • Experience maintaining accurate records and administrative documentation.
  • Good IT skills, including proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.

Qualifications for the Immediate Emergency Care Trainer:

  • FREC Level 3 qualification.
  • FREC Level 4 qualification (desirable)
  • Instructional, training, or assessment qualifications (desirable)

Security Clearance

The successful candidate must be able to achieve and maintain Standard (BPSS) security clearance for this role.
