This role offers a competitive pay rate of £15.36 per hour PAYE plus holiday pay, or £20 per hour via an umbrella company for a 3-month contract position based in Southampton.

As a Handyperson/Fabric Technician, you will be responsible for carrying out a variety of maintenance tasks to ensure the upkeep and functionality of the facilities.

This role demands a proactive approach to maintenance tasks, including general repairs, carpentry, and building fabric maintenance.

Your duties will include routine inspections, fault finding, and ensuring that all work is conducted in compliance with health and safety regulations. You will need to collaborate effectively with the engineering team to meet and exceed service levels and customer expectations.

Skills:
Building maintenance experience General repair skills Carpentry and joinery expertise Proficient in basic plumbing and electrical repairs Strong verbal communication skills Excellent customer service skills Ability to work under pressure and maintain a calm manner Attention to detail and problem-solving abilities Physical fitness to handle tools and components Understanding of health and safety regulations

Previous experience as a Fabric Technician/Handyperson is essential.
