As a Finance Business Partner, you’ll be the trusted advisor for a portfolio of high-profile contracts providing insight, driving efficiency, and enabling smarter decisions. You’ll work hand-in-hand with operational leaders to improve processes, strengthen controls, and deliver robust reporting that powers strategic choices.

Day-to-day, you’ll be required to:
- Own financial performance for key contracts within Mission Systems Effectors
- Deliver accurate forecasts, ensure strong trading margins, and identify profit opportunities
- Lead cash management reporting and maintain financial models for current and future projects
- Support audits, provide analysis for new business, and deputise for the Lead Finance Business Partner when needed
- Be the go-to expert for programme and finance teams making complex concepts clear and actionable
This role is full time, 37 hours per week and provides hybrid working arrangements with 1-2 days onsite and the rest of the week working from home.
Essential experience of the Finance Business Partner
- Strong analytical capability and confidence working with high volumes of data.
- Excellent Excel skills, including pivot tables and data modelling.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with stakeholders across finance, project management, and commercial functions.
- Excellent communication skills and a proactive, team-focused mindset
Qualifications for the Finance Business Partner
- Ideally you will be a qualified or part‑qualified accountant (CIMA preferred) or actively working towards qualification.
- Experience with ERP systems and IFRS15 long-term contract accounting would be advantageous.
