Our client provides MAA Part 145 Aircraft support to the RAF A400M (Atlas) fleet.


They have an exceptional opportunity for a highly motivated career focused and ambitious Aircraft Fitter seeking a role in a challenging, fast-paced and rewarding environment. Our aim as a team is to attract and develop key talent across all levels of our growing aviation business. Duties and responsibilities are, but not limited to the following:

General Responsibility


As an Aircraft Fitter you will be responsible for Maintenance, Repairs and Modifications to the aircraft. Your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to: - ? Compliance with the organisational policies and procedures detailed in the MOE and supporting manuals ? Identifying and rectifying existing and potential unsafe conditions ? Maintaining the work environment in a clean and safe manner using a “clean as you go” approach ? Complying with company Safety Management System (SMS) occurrence reporting procedures ? Complying with the safety policy ? Complete aircraft paperwork to a high standard ? An awareness of COSHH, Working at height and Manual handling safety requirements ? Actively embrace a Continuous Improvement (CI) culture

Essential Job Function

  • Responsible for the maintenance of the aircraft and safe use of ground equipment
  • Can accurately navigate and interpret aircraft maintenance documentation.
  • Carry out aircraft modifications and light structural work if required.

Candidate Essential Requirements


  • Must hold a valid aircraft standards-based qualification (Apprenticeship/NVQ level 3) or aircraft related academic qualification/traineeship with a minimum 3 years recorded experience or be able to satisfy Training / Maintenance management team.
  • Current Human factor initial and refresher, EWIS and SFAR 88 certificate
  • Knowledge of aeronautical regulations
  • Must have the right to live and work in the United Kingdom
  • Fluency in English, both written and verbal
  • Be able to successful complete MOD security clearance

Desirable Criteria

  • Experience on A400M, Propeller or Wide body Aircraft
  • Previous exposure to AirN@v and Amos
  • Knowledge of Military Aviation Authority (MAA) MRP Part 145 regulations
  • Have good communication skills, both verbally and written, and interpersonal skills
  • A proven ability to work as part of a team
  • Be able to work on their own initiative and demonstrate leadership skills
  • Possess proficient organisational skills and an ability to work in an efficient manner
  • IPAF/MEWP familiarisation

Typical Working Conditions

  • Primarily based in Brize Norton however travel may be required
  • Shift will be 5x5x4 - 0700-1900
  • PPE is provided and its use is mandatory in the performance of your work.

Duration: 1 year contract, rolling
Hours: 5x5x4 shift approx. 40 hours per week with potential overtime - 07.00 to 19.00 Pay: £30 ph umbrella and £23.24 PAYE
