JOB PURPOSE The Test and Repair Engineer is responsible for ensuring that the spare assets are available in the correct location, at the correct time and are configured to the correct build standard. This will involve undertaking asset repairs as well as managing repair Agents and Vendors to ensure optimum spares stock is maintained.MAIN ACTIVITIES AND TASKS The Test and Repair Engineer is responsible for all aspects of the return of suspect equipment from the field allocated to them. This may include updating the history within the Service Management Tool / CMDB, Engineering evaluations, verifying failure modes, dispatching to OEM for repair, where possible undertake in-house repairs, return of items into spare’s store / field.
