The alliance work across the project to integrate and coordinate the delivery of all main Mechanical, Electrical, Heating, Ventilation and Air-Conditioning (MEH), cabling and associated support services. This innovative approach will help different contractors work as a single entity to deliver the complex installation of cabling and pipework in the power station’s vast network of rooms.The roleAs a Health and Safety Lead, you’ll have a role that’s out of the ordinary. You’ll take a pivotal role in ensuring the wellbeing of our workforce and contractors on the Hinkley Point C construction site – one of the most prestigious nuclear infrastructure projects in the UK.&nbsp;Day-to-day, you’ll<ul><li>Monitor working practices of MEH employees and contractors to ensure compliance with health, safety, environmental and welfare standards.</li><li>Record findings from audits and inspections in line with HSSE Management System requirements.</li><li>Support accident investigations and oversee HSE advisors’ KPIs.</li><li>Build strong working relationships with Tier 1 contractors and the Principal Contractor.</li><li>Escalate unresolved issues to H&amp;S or Discipline Leads for further support.</li></ul>This is a full-time, permanent position, 37 hours per week, based on site at Hinkley Point C near Bridgwater, Somerset.Essential experience of the Health and Safety Lead:<ul><li>Bringing significant, relevant experience in the construction industry.</li><li>Communicating clearly and confidently to explain HSE procedures and expectations to diverse teams.</li><li>Demonstrating a strong working knowledge of Health and Safety regulations.</li></ul>Qualifications for the&nbsp;Health and Safety Lead:<ul><li>NEBOSH Diploma or equivalent.</li></ul>Security ClearanceThe successful candidate must be a valid UK passport holder, with the ability to achieve and maintain Standard (BPSS) security clearance for this role.
