You will ensure safe and efficient transport and maintenance of vehicles and assets at Babcock DSG’s Training up fleet site, using approved procedures, tools, and materials to deliver high-quality results aligned with operational plans.Day-to-day, you’ll have the following responsibilities:<ul><li>Ensure all vehicles are fuelled, cleaned, and prepared for operational use</li><li>Transport trucks and vehicles to and from the main site for servicing and maintenance</li><li>Perform general site duties including sweeping, tidying, and upkeep of work areas</li><li>Conduct monthly service checks on trucks to maintain roadworthiness and operational readiness.</li></ul>This role is full time working 37 hours per week and is based on site at DSG Catterick, North Yorkshire.Essential experience of the Driver:<ul><li>Practical experience maintaining roadworthiness of vehicles</li><li>Experience in load restraint and load safety.</li></ul>Qualifications for the Driver: <ul><li>Essential: Valid HGV Category C Driving Licence</li><li>Desirable: Forklift Licence</li><li>Desirable: HGV Category C+E Licence.</li></ul>Security ClearanceThe successful candidate must be able to achieve and maintain Standard (BPSS) security clearance for this role.Many of the positions within our company are subject to national security clearance and Trade Control restrictions.
