The alliance work across the project to integrate and coordinate the delivery of all main Mechanical, Electrical, Heating, Ventilation and Air-Conditioning (MEH), cabling and associated support services. This innovative approach will help different contractors work as a single entity to deliver the complex installation of cabling and pipework in the power station’s vast network of rooms.The roleAs an Environmental Engineer, you’ll have a role that’s out of the ordinary. Being part of the MEH Alliance working on Hinkley Point C is a chance to be involved in a major project with national significance. &nbsp;You’ll help ensure the commissioning process is carried out in a way that protects the environment and supports a sustainable future.&nbsp;This is a permanent role, based at Hinkley Point C, Bridgwater, Somerset. Working hours are 37 hours per week, Monday to Friday.Day-to-day, you’ll be:<ul><li>Creating, maintaining and improving environmental safety controls across the commissioning programme</li><li>Producing performance reports and identifying trends, risks and solutions</li><li>Supporting regulatory interfaces and environmental incident management</li><li>Conducting inspections, risk assessments and assurance activities</li><li>Engaging with stakeholders to influence and advise on environmental issues</li></ul>Essential experience of the Environmental Engineer:<ul><li>Demonstrate strong communication skills and stakeholder engagement</li><li>Understand environmental compliance in regulated industries</li><li>Write and review environmental specifications and risk assessments</li><li>Knowledge of UK environmental permitting and waste management frameworks</li></ul>Qualifications for the Environmental Engineer:<ul><li>Degree qualified (or equivalent experience) in an environmental discipline</li></ul>Security ClearanceThe successful candidate must be a valid UK passport holder, with the ability to achieve and maintain Standard (BPSS) security clearance for this role.
