This is more than just welding – it’s precision engineering with purpose.What you’ll do:<ul><li>Work primarily on submarines, with additional tasks on ships and in factory environments.</li><li>Reading and interpreting engineering drawings and work instructions</li><li>Executing high-quality welding using specialised tools and machinery</li><li>Supporting the HMS Victorious project within our Submarines business unit</li><li>Collaborating with internal teams and stakeholders to meet project milestones</li></ul>What you’ll need:<ul><li>Reading engineering drawings and interpreting technical instructions</li><li>Using general workshop tools and welding machinery confidently</li><li>Experience in marine engineering, ideally with Royal Navy or commercial vessels</li><li>Background in shipyard or factory-based welding environments</li><li>Time-served apprenticeship in marine or naval engineering</li><li>Indentured Apprenticeship relevant to welding</li><li>Level 3 Modern Apprenticeship or Engineering qualification</li><li>Level 2 Engineering qualification with substantial hands-on experience would be desirable</li></ul>Security ClearanceThe successful candidate must be able to achieve and maintain Security Check (SC) security clearance for this role.Many of the positions within our company are subject to national security clearance and Trade Control restrictions.
