We have opportunities for Plater/Fabricators to work on a wide range of projects. You’ll be at the heart of our submarine maintenance programme, working on some of the most advanced marine technology in the world. This is your chance to contribute to national defence while developing your skills in a dynamic and highly specialised environment. You’ll be part of a constructive production team, supporting the repair, maintenance and modification of the UK’s fleet of submarines and warships. What you’ll do:<ul><li>Perform structural repairs to steel hulls and decks using burning and grinding techniques</li><li>Fabricate and assemble plate and steelwork using specialist tools and equipment</li><li>Translate engineering documents into fabrication plans</li><li>Cutting, shaping and assembling steel plates and components</li><li>Installing and joining plate, steel and structural materials</li></ul>Please note that the successful candidate will be required to pass a targeted medical questionnaire and/or medical examination as a condition of employment for this role.There is an opportunity for Optimised Working Patterns (OWP) within this role.
