If you join us, you can play your part as a Vehicle Mechanic at Leuchars, near St Andrews, Fife.&nbsp; The role As a Vehicle Mechanic, you’ll be part of a team that keeps military vehicles mission-ready. From diagnosing faults to repairing and inspecting a range of mechanical and electrical systems, your work will directly support the UK’s defence capability. It’s a hands-on role where your technical skills will grow, and your impact will be felt across operations. Day-to-day you’ll be: • &nbsp; &nbsp;Diagnosing faults and repairing military and occasional civilian vehicles • &nbsp; &nbsp;Undertaking road testing and inspections to ensure operational readiness• &nbsp; &nbsp;Managing parts and reporting any faults or unused items • &nbsp; &nbsp;Completing documentation and test certificates to required standards • &nbsp; &nbsp;Using tools and equipment safely and effectively (all provided) &nbsp;This position involves manual work. This could include lifting, bending, using tools or standing for extended periods of time. All tools, equipment, and personal protective equipment provided. &nbsp;This role is full time, 37 hours per week and is based on site at Leuchars. Typically working Monday – Thursday 8 hours per day and 5 hours on Friday. No Mandatory overtime, nightshift or weekend work.&nbsp; &nbsp;Essential experience of the Vehicle Mechanic: • &nbsp; &nbsp;Experience working with HGVs • &nbsp; &nbsp;Valid UK driving licence • &nbsp; &nbsp;Confident using computers for workflow and reporting &nbsp;Qualifications for the Vehicle Mechanic: • &nbsp; &nbsp;Educated to Level 3 in Regulated Qualification Framework (RQF) National Vocational Qualification (NVQ/SVQ) in Motor Mechanics (Light or Heavy) or EAL Level 3 NVQ or SVQ Extended&nbsp;Security ClearanceThe successful candidate must be able to achieve and maintain Security Check (SC) security clearance for this role.&nbsp;Many of the positions within our company are subject to national security clearance and Trade Control restrictions.
