If you join us, you can play your part as a Vehicle Mechanic at Donnington, near Telford, Shropshire.&nbsp;The Role As a Vehicle Mechanic, you’ll be part of a skilled and dedicated team responsible for maintaining and repairing military vehicles and electrical equipment. Your work will directly support the UK’s defence capability—making this a career with real purpose and impact. From diagnostics to inspections, you’ll ensure our fleet is ready for action while developing your own skills in a dynamic and supportive environment.&nbsp;Day-to-day you’ll be: • &nbsp; &nbsp;Servicing, repairing, and overhauling military vehicles and electrical systems• &nbsp; &nbsp;Creating job cards and requesting materials using ERP (SAP) systems• &nbsp; &nbsp;Diagnosing, inspecting, and assessing vehicles and associated equipment • &nbsp; &nbsp;Completing documentation and test certificates to current standards • &nbsp; &nbsp;Ensuring correct use of stores and returning unused or faulty items&nbsp;Please note that the successful candidate will be required to pass a targeted medical questionnaire and/or medical examination as a condition of employment for this role.&nbsp;Please note that this position involves manual work. This could include lifting, bending, using tools or standing for extended periods of time.&nbsp;This is a full-time, permanent role based onsite at Donnington. The set working times are 37 hours per week, based on a 9-day fortnight pattern.&nbsp;Essential experience of the Vehicle Mechanic: • &nbsp; &nbsp;Previous experience in a similar mechanical role • &nbsp; &nbsp;Hydraulics experience • &nbsp; &nbsp;Experience in a dealership or local garage • &nbsp; &nbsp;Strong teamwork and communication skills • &nbsp; &nbsp;Ability to adapt and build rapport across teams&nbsp;Qualifications for the Vehicle Mechanic: • &nbsp; &nbsp;NVQ Level 3 in Service and Repair&nbsp;Security ClearanceThe successful candidate must be able to achieve and maintain Security Check (SC) security clearance for this role.&nbsp;Many of the positions within our company are subject to national security clearance and Trade Control restrictions.
