You’ll be at the heart of maintaining and repairing critical mechanical systems and equipment that support national defence operations. This is a hands-on role where your skills will directly contribute to the safety and reliability of our infrastructure. You’ll be part of a close-knit team, working in a dynamic environment where your expertise will be valued, and your career can thrive.Day-to-day you’ll be:<ul><li>Completing planned preventative maintenance across mechanical systems and equipment</li><li>Identifying and resolving system defects and manufacturing issues</li><li>Suggesting improvements to systems and processes to boost productivity</li><li>Ensuring all work complies with health and safety legislation and internal policies</li><li>Working within Safe Systems of Work and control of work processes</li></ul>This role is full time, 36 hours per week Monday to Thursday and is based on site at RNAD Coulport.&nbsp;Essential experience of the Mechanical Fitter <ul><li>Proven experience in mechanical fitting</li><li>Strong understanding of mechanical systems and pressure systems</li><li>Ability to interpret engineering drawings</li><li>Hands-on experience with mechanical equipment maintenance and repair</li></ul>Qualifications for the Mechanical Fitter <ul><li>NVQ/SVQ Level 3 or equivalent in a Mechanical discipline</li></ul>Security ClearanceThe successful candidate must be able to achieve and maintain Security Check (SC) security clearance for this role.Many of the positions within our company are subject to national security clearance and Trade Control restrictions.
