From converting specialist vehicles for the Metropolitan Police to developing electrical systems for armoured and civilian platforms, your contributions will help ensure these assets are safe, reliable, and ready for deployment.Throughout your placement, you’ll be involved in a wide range of activities. You’ll work on tasks such as designing wiring harnesses, integrating electrical systems, and testing components to meet performance and safety standards. You’ll also support fault diagnosis and system upgrades, collaborate with suppliers, and contribute to technical reviews and problem-solving efforts.As you gain experience, your responsibilities will grow. You’ll start by assisting with detailed design work and installation planning, and progress to coordinating small work packages and working closely with multi-disciplinary teams. For this programme, you must be able to achieve Baseline Personnel Security Standard (BPSS) and Security Check (SC) clearance.
