This position is ideally suited to an individual who has experience working in a busy Logistics setting, within a military setting. The role involves the control and accounting of high value aircraft spares, and a strict attention to detail when processing is paramount, particularly when dealing with Classified equipment. The scope covers all aspects of the Physical Logistics role, from Goods Inwards, Issue to the customer, and the return of unserviceable equipment for repair back into the Reverse Supply Chain. As a team player you will have experience in using tact and diplomacy when dealing with colleagues and customers alike, and your personal standards include strong time keeping skills and professional attitudes and behaviours. This role will require the use of the Military toolset MJDI, and you will be current or have experience of using this toolsetJob Description Responsible for the control, accountability and movement of assets throughout aircraft maintenance servicing from ‘Goods Inward’ to delivery against schedules. The Inventory Controllers are responsible for the control of spares for the Typhoon a/c undergoing maintenance. They are to ensure that details are recorded for all issues and remove for access associated spares and process serviceable and unserviceable equipment. Strict control of data input to manual and electronic registers is essential. Accurate and timely data input is essential in this busy and demanding environment, with prioritisation of tasks paramount. This position sits within the Mil Pt 145 gateway and all processes are governed by strict Mil Pt 145 legislation. • Registration of all assets received or dispatched through the TMF Logistics regulator. • Physical control of all a/c spares. • Populate TMF Logs databases, and IMS systems for all transaction activity. • Resolve or report upwards any potential issues immediately to enable alternative demand solutions. • Control aircraft spares through regulators and VSU’s in accordance with current regulations, • MJDI Inventory transfers and Maintenix transactions iaw business process. • A requirement to carry out night shifts is included in the role. Workshop Fabrication

The successful candidate will be required to perform tasks suitable to the internal level of this role. The role will contain, but will not be limited to, the following: Undertake and complete tasked maintenance &amp; diagnostic activities on an aircraft or components which may include, as appropriate, Aircraft Ground Handling, flight servicings, aircraft role changes, AD embodiments, component removals, inspections, repairs, modifications, fault rectifications, replacements and/or functional/system test. Reviews operational performance of aircraft components &amp; systems. Analyse and diagnose faults to components &amp; assemblies, apply diagnostic skills &amp; knowledge to effect repairs or modify equipment or suggest improvements to procedures. Ensure that maintenance is undertaken to schedule and resolve any issues, escalate as required. Demonstrates a flexible and proactive attitude to carrying out responsibilities appropriate to the role and takes direction appropriately. Maintain personal task competencies for working on aircraft or components. Undertake support tasks within the Aircraft or component maintenance facility which are required to maintain compliance with the MOE and Functionally Mandated procedures (e.g. oversight checks, control of tooling / test equipment etc.). Receive On The Job training activities and maintain personal Log Book for currency and recency Requires broad and in-depth product knowledge / competency within own technical / subject area. Awareness of how the team integrates with others in order to achieve the overall objectives of the area and demonstrates an understanding of the requirement for continuous improvement and its application. Ensure personal compliance with the risk assessments, SHE policies and procedures. If approved as a designated assessor undertake OJT activities, qualified by undertaking an OJT Training and Assessor course or acceptable equivalence, referenced in PROQ30718 Signs for own work. If BAE Systems licensed all work must be certified in line with ADS. If unlicensed all work must be certified by a BAE Systems Military Aircraft Maintenance licence holder, other than when ADS allows for self certification. May certify for others if completed 2nd signature pack or supervisory assessment by the LOD holder. Undertake specific activities in line with Authorities granted by the Maintenance Manager.Typically 3+ years experience including type, classed as fully competent with all required ‘Authorities’ in place. Demonstrating breadth of systems experience, currency &amp; recency via a Log Book (electronic or paper) capturing skills, knowledge and authorities for working on Aircraft or in workshops. A knowledge of the Functionally Mandated Procedures Requires broad and in-depth product knowledge / competency within own technical / subject area. Awareness of how the team integrates with others in order to achieve the overall objectives of the area and demonstrates an understanding of the requirement for continuous improvement and its application. Academic qualification for this role is a minimum of City &amp; Guilds 2675 or 2661 in Aeronautical Engineering and Maintenance or equivalent. Aircraft platform training (on a/c requirement)WORKING HOURS – ON BASE - 5 days p/wk (Mon-Fri) around relevant site core hours (7.30am – 4.30pm Mon – Thurs, 7.30am – 12pm Fri). - Hours required to work per week are 37.00 unless otherwise stated (this does not include lunch breaks). - Start and finish times to be agreed with local Line Management, in accordance with local site core hours. - Lunch break allowance is 30 minutes between 12.30 – 1:00pm (or as agreed with Line Manager). 30 mins will automatically be deducted each working day by the electronic time management system. - Dependant on workload, local management may request more or less hours are worked within this contract. - Candidates should be aware that this position may involve shift work Nightshift pattern Days: 07:30 till 16:00hrs and Nights: 16:00 to 02:00hrs, this is a 6 month contract initially.
