It’s a collaborative, fast-paced environment where innovation meets purpose, and where your expertise will help shape the future of national security.Day-to-day, you’ll work with the other Discipline Leads to ensure best practice approaches, governance and techniques, in line with Group policies, are embedded as part of our local operating models and project delivery lifecycle, focusing on instilling strong foundations and forward looking, proactive approaches to delivery.<ul><li>Responsible for leading the implementation of best practice cost management techniques and toolsets across the Mission Systems portfolio.</li><li>Lead and support a community of professionals specialising in cost management, including mentoring, coaching, and professional development.</li><li>Collaborate with the Operations Lead to build a pipeline of suitably qualified and experienced cost management professionals aligned with delivery demand across the portfolio.</li></ul>This role is full time, 37 hours per week and provides hybrid working arrangements with up to 2 days in the office/onsite and 3 days working from home.Essential experience of the Project Cost Capability Lead<ul><li>Strong experience in applying robust project cost management and control techniques, including forecasting, performance reporting (e.g. Earned Value Management), and quantitative cost risk analysis.</li><li>Exceptional communication, influencing, and leadership abilities, with a proven capacity to engage effectively across a broad stakeholder community.</li><li>Skilled in using or collaborating with teams using project and risk management software such as Microsoft Project, Primavera P6, Active Risk Manager, riskHive, Deltek Cobra, Safran, or Primavera Risk Analyser.</li><li>Experience of using ERP systems (SAP/IFS or similar is desirable).</li><li>Proven track record of leading cost management within complex projects and programmes involving technically advanced equipment or system delivery contracts.</li></ul>Qualifications for the Project Cost Capability Lead We value difference and don’t have a fixed idea when it comes to background or education, provided you can show the required level of experience and willingness to learn then we would like to hear from you.Security Clearance The successful candidate must be a sole UK national who is able to achieve and maintain Security Check (SC) security clearance for this role.
