This is a strategic role where your decisions matter — driving innovation and supporting our rapid growth agenda.Day-to-day, you will<ul><li>Provide technical direction and mentor team members.</li><li>Build strong relationships with senior stakeholders and regulatory bodies.</li><li>Drive consultancy growth in line with Cavendish Nuclear’s strategy.</li><li>Lead the development and implementation of integrated waste management strategies.</li><li>Resolve technical issues and compile detailed reports and presentations.</li></ul>This is a permanent position, working 37 hours per week, based in Warrington, Cheshire. Hybrid working patterns are available.Essential experience of the Principal Environmental Consultant:<ul><li>Extensive experience in the nuclear industry with applied knowledge across areas such as decommissioning, site restoration, spent fuel management, and environmental planning.</li><li>Proven ability to develop waste management strategies and liaise with regulators and clients.</li><li>Strong leadership and people management skills.</li><li>Effective communication and stakeholder engagement.</li><li>Consultancy experience and familiarity with industry best practice.</li></ul>Qualifications for the Principal Environmental Consultant:<ul><li>Degree in Engineering or Science.</li><li>Chartered or Incorporated Engineer or Scientist status (essential).</li><li>Additional certifications in waste management or nuclear safety (advantageous).</li></ul>Security ClearanceThe successful candidate must be able to achieve and maintain Security Check (SC) security clearance for this role.
