This is your chance to make a real impact, helping ensure the reliability and sustainability of critical defence assets while developing your own expertise in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.Day-to-day, you’ll carry out a varied key role, working in a fast paced environment where you’ll be a vital part in developing Integrated Product Support (IPS) solutions for a new build Warship programme.<ul><li>Conduct availability, reliability, maintainability and sustainability analysis and modelling.</li><li>Deliver and support Integrated Product Support (IPS) activities for new-build warships.</li><li>Collaborate with partners, customers and internal teams to produce IPS artefacts and deliverables.</li><li>Provide technical input into maintenance schedules and spares planning.</li><li>Ensure compliance with S-Series standards and programme requirements.</li></ul>This role is full time, 35 hours per week and provides hybrid working arrangements with 2 days in the office/onsite and 3 days working from home.Essential experience of the Mechanical Engineer<ul><li>Prior experience in mechanical engineering.</li><li>Operated at Engineer level with expertise in IPS and supportability.</li><li>Knowledge of S-Series standards and ARM modelling software.</li><li>Strong communication skills - customer-facing experience is beneficial.</li></ul>Qualifications for the Mechanical Engineer<ul><li>NVQ Level 3 qualified or above in electrical or mechanical</li></ul>Security ClearanceThe successful candidate must be able to achieve and maintain Standard (BPSS) / Security Check (SC) security clearance for this role.Many of the positions within our company are subject to national security clearance and Trade Control restrictions.
