This is your opportunity to lead impactful projects that help protect communities and enable national security, while advancing your own career in a dynamic, future-focused environment.Day-to-day, you’ll be required to:<ul type="disc"><li>Lead the planning, execution and delivery of IT projects across all Babcock sectors</li><li>Track key project milestones and adjust plans to meet evolving business needs</li><li>Maintain full project documentation in line with Babcock’s IT Project Management Process</li><li>Coordinate communication across stakeholders to manage scope, budget, risk, and resources</li><li>Ensure through-life support is embedded in all new business system solutions</li></ul>This role is full time, 37.5 hours per week Monday to Friday, with flexible start and finish times between 07:30 and 18:00. Your contractual location will be the closest Babcock hub to your home and occasional travel to other sites, including overnight stays will be requiredEssential experience of the IT Project Manager:<ul type="disc"><li>Proven experience managing software application projects using structured methodologies</li><li>Strong understanding of the Applications Lifecycle Management (ALM) process</li><li>Experience managing both in-house development teams and third-party suppliers</li><li>Proficiency with Microsoft Project (Project Server preferred)</li><li>Track record of delivering large-scale projects on time and within budget in complex environments</li></ul>Qualifications for the IT Project Manager:<ul type="disc"><li>Certified Scrum Master, Agile certified or equivalent</li><li>Project Management certification such as PRINCE2, APM, or equivalent</li></ul>Security ClearanceThe successful candidate must be a sole UK national who is able to achieve and maintain Standard (BPSS) / Security Check (SC) security clearance for this role.Many of the positions within our company are subject to national security clearance and Trade Control restrictions.
