Our projects cover strategic communications, tactical communications, weapon handling &amp; launching systems and many more complex systems.<ul><li>Conduct safety assessments and risk analyses for systems and subsystems.</li><li>Provide expert advice on safety engineering processes and compliance with statutory and regulatory requirements.</li><li>Support the integration of safety into system design and development activities and participate in design reviews, audits, and safety working groups.</li><li>Liaise with internal and external stakeholders, including MOD clients, to ensure safety requirements are met.</li><li>Develop and maintain Safety Case Reports, including supporting analyses such as Hazard Analysis and Functional Failure Analysis, ensuring compliance with relevant standards (e.g., DEF STAN 00-56).</li><li>Detail understanding of hazard analysis and safety evaluation processes.</li></ul>This role is full time, 37 hours per week and requires flexible travel across a range of internal and customer sites on a weekly / monthly basis alongside home working arrangements.Essential Experience of the Product Safety Engineer<ul><li>Familiarity with safety standards and legislation relevant to mission systems.</li><li>Good verbal and written communication, analytical, problem-solving skills and stakeholder engagement skills.</li><li>Experience in safety engineering within a high-integrity or regulated environment (e.g., defence, automotive, aerospace, rail or nuclear).</li></ul>Qualifications for the Product Safety Engineer<ul><li>Degree in Engineering, or a related technical discipline.</li><li>Registration as a Professional Engineer working towards Incorporated and Chartered Engineer.</li></ul>Security ClearanceThe successful candidate must be a sole UK national who is able to achieve and maintain Security Check (SC) security clearance for this role.Many of the positions within our company are subject to national security clearance and Trade Control restrictions.
