You’ll be at the heart of our operations at the Royal School of Military Engineering (RSME), providing a professional and friendly first point of contact for all visitors and staff. This is a dynamic role where you’ll contribute to the smooth running of our IT Service Desk and support services, helping ensure our site remains secure, efficient, and welcoming.Day-to-day, you’ll be:<ul type="disc"><li>Greeting and assisting visitors while performing essential security checks</li><li>Handling incoming calls and service requests within a busy Service Desk environment</li><li>Managing Motor Transport and Accommodation bookings</li><li>Issuing personal security and car parking passes</li><li>Supporting the wider Service Support Desk team with administrative tasks</li></ul>This role is full time, 37.5 hours per week and is based on site.Essential experience of the Service Support Desk Receptionist:<ul type="disc"><li>Working in a reception, service desk or security environment</li><li>Using call logging systems</li><li>Delivering excellent customer service</li><li>Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications</li><li>Strong interpersonal and communication skills</li></ul>Qualifications for the Service Support Desk Receptionist: <ul type="disc"><li>We value difference and don’t have a fixed idea when it comes to background or education, provided you can show the required level of experience and/or willingness to learn then we would like to hear from you.</li></ul>Security ClearanceThe successful candidate must be able to achieve and maintain Standard (BPSS) / Security Check (SC) security clearance for this role.Many of the positions within our company are subject to national security clearance and Trade Control restrictions.
