You’ll be at the heart of our UK Submarines portfolio, providing strategic oversight and implementing governance across an integrated portfolio of programmes and projects.Day-to-day, you’ll establish and lead the Portfolio Office, creating and owning the Portfolio PM Handbook.<ul><li>Drive strategic change initiatives, including organisational effectiveness.</li><li>Develop capability plans and resource strategies to ensure a future-ready workforce.</li><li>Integrate programmes at portfolio level and provide insight for strategic decision-making.</li><li>Manage portfolio-level strategic risks and ensure treatment plans are delivered.</li></ul>This role is full time role with 37 hours per week based in Bristol.<a></a>&nbsp;Essential experience of the Portfolio Management Office Lead<ul><li>Ability to lead and motivate teams and engage senior stakeholders effectively.</li><li>Proven experience in a PMO lead role, project delivery or project controls.</li><li>Strong track record of leading change initiatives at portfolio or senior level.</li><li>Deep understanding of project governance and controls, with hands-on implementation experience.</li><li>Knowledge of cost, estimating, scheduling and risk management disciplines.</li></ul>Qualifications for the Portfolio Management Office Lead<ul><li>Project controls-related qualifications (advantageous).</li><li>Familiarity with tools such as Power BI, Microsoft Project, P6 and risk management systems (advantageous).</li><li>APM Project Management Qualification (essential).</li></ul>We value difference and don’t have a fixed idea when it comes to background or education, provided you can show the required level of experience and/or willingness to learn then we would like to hear from you.Security ClearanceThe successful candidate must be able to achieve and maintain Standard (BPSS) security clearance for this role.Many of the positions within our company are subject to national security clearance and Trade Control restrictions.
