Working with Babcock and RAF Stakeholders.Day-to-day you’ll be responsible for:<ul><li>Responsible for driving fuel tankers on shift to support flying operations. Perform daily, weekly, and any other necessary maintenance and checks to ensure vehicle safety and compliance.</li><li>Manage all vehicle-related administration and ensure all personal licenses, medicals, and competencies are up to date.</li><li>Conduct see-in and see-off procedures, and be authorized to carry out fuel and oil replenishment on aircraft.</li></ul>This role is full time and based onsite at RAF Cranwell, near Sleaford. The shift roster is made up of the following shifts: 07:00-19:00 and 10.30–22:30 and also late finishes as business requirements 7 days a week.Essential experience of the Driver<ul><li>Must have prior experience as a Driver. Holding a Cat C license is essential, but the current driving role does not need to be military.</li><li>Evidence of previous experience working on their own initiative.</li><li>Strong timekeeping skills are required.</li><li>Working knowledge of tachographs.</li><li>Understanding of transport and driver legal requirements.</li></ul> Qualifications for the Driver<ul><li>PSV, LGV C on license, and ADR qualified (candidates who do not hold all licenses will still be considered if you&nbsp;hold the Cat C element).</li><li>Current DCPC card and a digital tachograph card.</li><li>Clean driving license with a Cat C qualification as a minimum.</li><li>Must meet eye color vision standards of CP2/CP3 for airfield airside operations.</li></ul> Security Clearance&nbsp;The successful candidate must be able to achieve and maintain DBS security clearance for this role.Many of the positions within our company are subject to national security clearance and Trade Control restrictions. Vehicle Mechanic

The successful candidate will be required to perform tasks suitable to the internal level of this role. The role will contain, but will not be limited to, the following: Undertake and complete tasked maintenance &amp; diagnostic activities on an aircraft or components which may include, as appropriate, Aircraft Ground Handling, flight servicings, aircraft role changes, AD embodiments, component removals, inspections, repairs, modifications, fault rectifications, replacements and/or functional/system test. Reviews operational performance of aircraft components &amp; systems. Analyse and diagnose faults to components &amp; assemblies, apply diagnostic skills &amp; knowledge to effect repairs or modify equipment or suggest improvements to procedures. Ensure that maintenance is undertaken to schedule and resolve any issues, escalate as required. Demonstrates a flexible and proactive attitude to carrying out responsibilities appropriate to the role and takes direction appropriately. Maintain personal task competencies for working on aircraft or components. Undertake support tasks within the Aircraft or component maintenance facility which are required to maintain compliance with the MOE and Functionally Mandated procedures (e.g. oversight checks, control of tooling / test equipment etc.). Receive On The Job training activities and maintain personal Log Book for currency and recency Requires broad and in-depth product knowledge / competency within own technical / subject area. Awareness of how the team integrates with others in order to achieve the overall objectives of the area and demonstrates an understanding of the requirement for continuous improvement and its application. If unlicensed all work must be certified by a BAE Systems Military Aircraft Maintenance licence holder, other than when ADS allows for self certification. Undertake specific activities in line with Authorities granted by the Maintenance Manager.Typically 3+ years experience including type, classed as fully competent with all required ‘Authorities’ in place. Demonstrating breadth of systems experience, currency &amp; recency via a Log Book (electronic or paper) capturing skills, knowledge and authorities for working on Aircraft or in workshops. A knowledge of the Functionally Mandated Procedures Requires broad and in-depth product knowledge / competency within own technical / subject area. Academic qualification for this role is a minimum of City &amp; Guilds 2675 or 2661 in Aeronautical Engineering and Maintenance or equivalent. Aircraft platform training (on a/c requirement)WORKING HOURS – ON BASE - 5 days p/wk (Mon-Fri) around relevant site core hours (7.30am – 4.30pm Mon – Thurs, 7.30am – 12pm Fri). - Hours required to work per week are 37.00 unless otherwise stated (this does not include lunch breaks). - Start and finish times to be agreed with local Line Management, in accordance with local site core hours. - Lunch break allowance is 30 minutes between 12.30 – 1:00pm (or as agreed with Line Manager). 30 mins will automatically be deducted each working day by the electronic time management system. - Dependant on workload, local management may request more or less hours are worked within this contract. - Candidates should be aware that this position may involve shift work Nightshift pattern Days: 07:30 till 16:00hrs and Nights: 16:00 to 02:00hrs, this is a 6 month contract initially.
