As an&nbsp;Street Lighting Supervisor,&nbsp;you will be responsible for overseeing all on-site activities and resources, ensuring safety and compliance with industry regulations. You will play a crucial role in maintaining the highest standards of excellence, productivity, and performance in our high-quality street lighting services for London Borough of Hillingdon. You will have the ability and experience to comply with all supervisors’ duties&nbsp;under CDM 2015.Essential criteria;Who we are looking for:<ul><li>Experience: Proven experience in Street Lighting projects and working under NEC Contracts.</li><li>Qualifications: Hold a SSSTS Card, CSCS card &amp; CITB SMSTS.</li><li>Knowledge: In-depth understanding of health and safety regulations, especially responsibilities under Construction (Design &amp; Management) Regulations 2015.</li><li>Safety Committed: Prioritise Safety, Delivery, commercial aspects, and Client and customer excellence.</li><li>Driving License: A full clean UK Driving license is required for this role.</li><li>Results-oriented&nbsp;with a commitment to on-time, on-budget project delivery.</li><li>Commercial acumen:&nbsp;Understanding of Profit and Loss (P&amp;L), input into programming and scheduling skills, including annual programme development and associated budgeting.</li><li>Adaptability&nbsp;to a dynamic, fast-paced environment.</li><li>Leadership&nbsp;skills with a proven track record of team supervision and high performance, capable of instructing and motivating teams.</li><li>Proficiency&nbsp;in supervision principles, including budgeting, cost control, and safety.</li><li>Possess excellent communication&nbsp;skills to effectively interact with various stakeholders, thrive in high-pressure environments, and remain highly self-motivated with the ability to effectively motivate others.</li></ul>Role and responsibilities;What your role will include:<ul><li>Project Management:&nbsp;Assist in managing physical construction activities as directed by the contract Manager. Coordinate and supervise the execution of capital projects and maintenance schemes, adhering to timelines, budgets, and quality standards.</li><li>Input: Programme works on a weekly basis, including the management and allocation of plant, labour, and materials in line with McCann expectations.</li><li>Supervise: On-site teams, completing daily and weekly reports and documentation. Ensure timely and budgeted completion of works.</li><li>Contribute: To design buildability.</li><li>Health and Safety:&nbsp;Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, implement safety practices, and manage risks. Conduct audit reports, providing feedback on Health and Safety issues to the SHEQ Advisor/HSEQ Manager.</li><li>Team Leadership: Lead, manage, and motivate your team, delegate tasks effectively, and support their development. Produce Work Package Plans and Task Briefing sheets.</li><li>Organise: Ability to effectively organise work gangs. Ensure recruited staff/operatives/subcontractors are competent for their assigned tasks and responsibilities.</li><li>Monitor&nbsp;work quality to prevent significant quality defects.</li><li>Promote&nbsp;the reporting of accidents, incidents, or near misses among fellow employees.</li><li>Attend&nbsp;internal/external planning meetings.</li><li>Collaboration: Work closely with internal teams, subcontractors, suppliers, and stakeholders to ensure project success. Liaise with wider site teams and collaborate with Councils and third parties.</li><li>Performance Management:&nbsp;review team progress, and provide feedback to improve performance, rewarding excellence and addressing issues.</li><li>Reporting: Maintain accurate project documentation, including reports, risk assessments, and financial records.</li><li>Continuous Improvement: Seek opportunities for process enhancement and stay updated on industry trends.</li><li>Training and compliance:&nbsp;Ensuring that all current training competencies are in date and arrange refresher training as and when required.</li><li>Any other duties required by the business for successful delivery.</li></ul>Why join us:We know hard work deserves recognition!
