The alliance works across the project to integrate and coordinate the delivery of all main Mechanical, Electrical, Heating, Ventilation and Air-Conditioning (MEH), cabling and associated support services. This innovative approach will help different contractors work as a single entity to deliver the complex installation of cabling and pipework in the power station’s vast network of rooms.The role As a Material Coordinator, you’ll have a role that’s out of the ordinary. Being part of the MEH Alliance working on Hinkley Point C is a chance to be involved in a major project with national significance.Day-to-day, you’ll support the coordination, communication, and control of construction materials to ensure smooth delivery, scheduling and integration across multiple teams and departments.<ul><li>Attend coordination meetings involving procurement, expediting, and warehouse inventory.</li><li>Process Material Requests aligned with the 16-week lookahead schedule.</li><li>Liaise with material package managers, warehouse teams and construction crews to ensure smooth flow of materials.</li><li>Provide input and visual data to support material forecasting and planning.</li><li>Collaborate with planning, engineering, logistics and site-wide teams to ensure efficient material handling.</li></ul>This role is full time, 37 hours per week and is based on site at Hinkley Point C.Essential experience of the Material Coordinator:<ul><li>Proven track record of material/asset management, ideally in construction or warehouse environments.</li><li>Strong data and reporting skills, including KPI input and trend analysis.</li><li>Collaborative and confident working with multiple departments.</li><li>Experience handling documentation and inventory management systems.</li></ul>Qualifications for the Material Coordinator:<ul><li>We value difference and don’t have a fixed idea when it comes to background or education, provided you can show the required level of experience and/or willingness to learn then we would like to hear from you.</li></ul>Security ClearanceThe successful candidate must be able to achieve and maintain Standard (BPSS) security clearance for this role.
