You will be maintaining, operating, and driving Armoured Fighting Vehicles and other specialist platforms, delivering critical support to the ASC Contract in a dynamic and high-impact environment.Day-to-day, you’ll have the following responsibilities:<ul><li>Perform Level 1 maintenance and repairs to vehicle-specific standards, following authorised procedures</li><li>Safely operate vehicles on public roads and off-road, day and night</li><li>Conduct preparatory tasks including minor repairs, cleaning, painting, and refuelling</li><li>Manage collection and delivery of vehicle platforms as required</li><li>Support usage tracking and routine checks of stores and equipment.</li></ul>This role is full time working 39 hours per week and is based on site at Bovington, Dorset.Essential experience of the Defence Support Operative:<ul><li>Proficient in IT with solid knowledge of Microsoft Office applications</li><li>Strong communicator, confident in representing the department during meetings and site visits</li><li>Must be 21 or older due to licensing requirements.</li></ul>Qualifications for the Defence Support Operative:<ul><li>Full manual UK Driving Licence.&nbsp;</li></ul>Security ClearanceThe successful candidate must be able to achieve and maintain Standard (BPSS) / Security Check (SC) security clearance for this role.Many of the positions within our company are subject to national security clearance and Trade Control restrictions.
