As a Warehouse Operative, you’ll become an essential part of our logistics operation, supporting the smooth flow of equipment through the Donnington site. This role keeps critical supply chains moving — enabling our teams across Defence Support Group (DSG) to deliver vital services. It’s hands‑on, varied and gives you the chance to build skills that can support long‑term growth across logistics, defence and engineering.
Day-to-day, you’ll be:
- Actioning supplier deliveries and processing items through the inbound receipting system
- Operating material‑handling equipment to support daily warehouse tasks
- Maintaining stock integrity through product compliance, shelf‑life checks and documentation
- Completing regular housekeeping to keep the warehouse safe and efficient
- Picking and preparing outbound stock for distribution to Babcock customers.
This role is full time working 37 hours per week and is based on site at DSG Donnington, Shropshire. You will work Monday to Friday, within our 9‑day fortnight working pattern. This is a Fixed Term Contract for 52 weeks.
Essential experience of the Warehouse Operative:
Basic IT skills, including working knowledge of Microsoft Excel.
Qualifications for the Warehouse Operative:
Manual handling or forklift licence. (Desirable)
Security Clearance
The successful candidate must be able to achieve and maintain Standard (BPSS) / Security Check (SC) security clearance for this role.
