Lead training delivery supporting armoured vehicle capability

The role

As a Training Delivery Manager, you will provide first‑line leadership, people management and operational oversight of training delivery staff. You’ll be responsible for managing a team of experienced defence trainers delivering training to military students on armoured fighting vehicles, ensuring training outcomes meet contractual, safety and quality requirements.

You will work closely with customer stakeholders from the Ministry of Defence while promoting a positive, inclusive and high‑performing training environment.

Day-to-day, you will be:

  • Leading, coaching and developing a team of approximately 18 defence trainers.
  • Planning and allocating training tasking to ensure effective delivery of training programmes.
  • Providing operational oversight of training delivery to ensure high standards of safety, quality and compliance.
  • Managing health and safety activity, including risk assessments and safe systems of work.
  • Acting as a key interface with MOD customer representatives.
  • Producing performance data and reports to support operational decision‑making.
  • Undertaking on‑call management responsibilities when required.

This is a full‑time, permanent role, working 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday, based on site five days per week.

Essential experience of the Training Deliver Manager:

  • Demonstrable people management experience within a training environment.
  • Experience leading teams and managing performance, engagement and development.
  • Strong IT capability with confidence producing reports and management information.
  • Strong leadership and coaching skills
  • Ability to plan and allocate resources effectively
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.

Qualifications for the Training Deliver Manager:

  • Defence Trainer Supervisor (DTS) or equivalent qualification.
  • Full UK manual driving licence.

Security Clearance

The successful candidate must be able to achieve and maintain Standard (BPSS) / Security Check (SC) / Enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service (EDBS) security clearance for this role.
