The role
As a Tendering Engineer, you’ll have a role that’s out of the ordinary. You’ll be at the heart of delivering high-quality, customer-focused technical and commercial proposals that support our marine engineering projects. This is an exciting opportunity to influence major bids and contribute to projects that make a real difference to national security and global maritime operations.
Day-to-day you’ll be:
- Developing competitive, technically compliant tender submissions for core projects.
- Supporting the delivery of our commercial strategy and bidding processes.
- Engaging with customers, suppliers, and internal teams to define requirements and create winning proposals.
- Collaborating with Business Development and Sales teams to qualify opportunities and prioritise workloads.
- Building proposals from validated standard documents and estimates.
This role is full time, 37.5 hours per week and provides hybrid working arrangements.
Essential experience of the Tendering Engineer
- Ability to interpret engineering drawings and specifications.
- Strong collaboration skills across functions to achieve shared objectives.
- Proven ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
- Exceptional attention to detail when reviewing tender specifications and documents.
Qualifications for the Tendering Engineer
- Degree-level qualification in a relevant engineering discipline.
- Experience working in an engineering environment (commercial experience is advantageous but not essential).

The successful candidate must be able to achieve and maintain Security Check (SC) security clearance for this role.
