The role

As a Tactical Ventilation Trainer, you’ll have a role that’s out of the ordinary. You’ll be at the forefront of delivering high-impact, practical training to London Fire Brigade personnel. Day-to-day, you’ll be required to:

  • Deliver engaging, high-energy, practical training sessions and assessments
  • Support and motivate students to achieve their learning goals
  • Provide constructive feedback and conduct learner observations
  • Collaborate with the curriculum team to develop innovative lesson plans
  • Share best practices and contribute to programme standardisation

This role is full time, 37.5 hours per week, and is offered on a permanent basis. The successful candidate will be based at the Gloucestershire Fire Service College, Moreton-in-Marsh. Happy to look at full time and part time opportunites.

Essential experience of the Tactical Ventilation Trainer

  • Strong communication, literacy, and numeracy skills
  • Proven ability to inspire and support learners
  • Experience delivering consistent, high-quality student experiences
  • Skilled in developing interactive teaching materials
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)

Qualifications for the Tactical Ventilation Trainer

  • Level 3 Award in Education and Teaching
  • Breathing Apparatus Instructor
  • Compartment Fire Behaviour Instructor
  • Tactical Ventilation / PPV Instructor
  • Significant operational experience in a Fire and Rescue Service is desirable

The successful candidate must be able to achieve and maintain Standard (BPSS) security clearance for this role.
