The role

As a Survival Equipment Technician, you will carry out scheduled maintenance and repairs to any/all RAF Survival Equipment and Aircrew Equipment Assemblies as required to always meet or exceed customer expectations and HADES contractual needs.

Day-to-day, you’ll schedule the maintenance of Survival Equipment and Aircrew Equipment Assemblies, as well as:

  • Periodic, after use and corrective maintenance of wet/dry drill equipment.
  • Maintenance documentation and record to be maintained IAW current regulations.
  • Calibration and recording of Torque tools as and when required.
  • MOD form 760 and 765 raised and submitted, as necessary.

This is a full‑time, onsite role, working 39 hours per week, Monday to Friday.

Essential experience of the Survival Equipment Technician:

  • Experience of Parachute maintenance and packing.
  • Experience of Life Raft maintenance and packing.

Qualifications for the Survival Equipment Technician:

  • RAF Survival Equipment Course or civilian equivalent.
  • Q-SE-AC or Q-AV-MED.
  • RAF Flying Clothing Maintenance and Fitting.

Security Clearance

The successful candidate must be able to achieve and maintain Standard (BPSS) / Security Check (SC) security clearance for this role.
