As a Solution Architect, you’ll play a key role in shaping the technology solutions that underpin critical defence aviation operations. This is an opportunity to work at the forefront of secure engineering and digital transformation, helping design complex solutions that support national security and make a lasting societal impact.
This role places you at the heart of our Solution Delivery function, where you will influence future technologies, drive innovation, and work on projects that will challenge and grow your expertise.
Day-to-day, you’ll develop your career in defence, aerospace, and engineering fields that are dynamic, meaningful, and essential to the nation’s.
- Develop and document business requirements, architectures, and solution designs.
- Deliver bid and project solutions in line with ITIL governance standards.
- Partner with project managers within a structured delivery framework.
- Assess existing software and hardware interfaces to support future capabilities.
- Provide facilitation, planning, and technical guidance to ensure clarity and alignment across stakeholders.
This role is full time, 37 hours per week and provides hybrid working arrangements with days onsite and days working from home.
Essential experience of the Solution Architect
- Experience within the aviation industry, ideally in a secure military environment.
- Background as an experienced IT professional working on large-scale technical solutions.
- Demonstrable experience designing solutions for complex, enterprise-level projects.
- Broad experience of project-based technology and solution delivery.
- Strong customer-facing consultancy experience.
Qualifications for the Solution Architect
- Technical qualifications such as MCSE or CCNA (or equivalent).
Security Clearance
The successful candidate must be able to achieve and maintain Standard (BPSS) / Security Check (SC) security clearance for this role.
