The role

As a Site Operations Manager, you’ll have a role that’s out of the ordinary. You’ll be at the heart of our aviation operations, leading a passionate multi-disciplined team and working closely with our local customer. This is a unique opportunity to shape the delivery of engineering, flying operations and support services that directly contribute to national defence and aerospace excellence.

Day-to-day, you’ll be:

  • Leading and motivating a multi-skilled team to deliver high-quality aviation services
  • Ensuring compliance with contractual, legislative and safety standards
  • Collaborating with internal stakeholders and the customer to exceed expectations
  • Managing site operations including engineering, MT, SE and flying activities
  • Driving continuous improvement and operational excellence

This role is full time, 40 hours per week and is based on site at St Athan. Weekends may be required.

Essential experience of the Site Operations Manager:

  • Strong understanding of customer-contract partnerships
  • Proven managerial experience in civil or military aviation
  • Practical and theoretical knowledge of aviation standards
  • Experience within the defence industry

Qualifications for the Site Operations Manager:

  • Full UK Driving Licence
  • Human Factors qualification
  • Recognised Safety, Health and Environment (SHE) qualification

Security Clearance

The successful candidate must be able to achieve and maintain Standard (BPSS) security clearance for this role.
