As a Senior Project Procurement Specialist, you’ll play a key role in delivering major infrastructure, estates and engineering programmes that support the UK's defence capabilities. Working within a highly regulated and complex environment, you'll lead the development of high-value procurement frameworks and commercial strategies that enable critical projects to be delivered safely, efficiently and sustainably.
Day-to-day, you’ll have the opportunity to influence large-scale investment programmes, shape long-term supply chain strategies and work with senior stakeholders across one of the UK's most important engineering and defence sites. You'll develop your expertise in strategic sourcing, commercial management, contract frameworks and supply chain leadership while making a tangible contribution to national infrastructure and security.
- Leading the development and implementation of high-value procurement and contracting strategies.
- Managing end-to-end procurement activities, from market engagement through to contract award.
- Developing framework agreements and commercial models that support major infrastructure and engineering programmes.
- Building strong relationships with internal stakeholders, suppliers and strategic delivery partners.
- Driving commercial excellence, compliance and value-for-money outcomes across procurement activities.
This role is full time, 35 hours per week and is based on site at Devonport Royal Dockyard.
Essential experience of the Senior Project Procurement Specialist
- Proven experience in strategic procurement within infrastructure, defence or other highly regulated environments.
- Experience designing and delivering multi-supplier and multi-lot framework agreements.
- Strong working knowledge of Engineering and Construction Contract, Professional Services Contract and Term Service Contract forms.
- Experience managing high-value complex procurements at portfolio level or exceeding £100 million in value.
- Demonstrable ability to influence senior stakeholders and develop effective supply chain partnerships.
