The role

As a Senior Project Manager, you’ll lead the delivery of complex design, build and integration programmes within our Mission Systems - Sense and Connect business. Operating in a highly visible role, you’ll manage multidisciplinary teams, balance commercial and technical priorities, and guide projects through every stage of the lifecycle.

This is an opportunity to influence outcomes at scale working across strategic communications and radio‑frequency development programmes with both UK and international stakeholders.

Day-to-day, you’ll play a key role in shaping delivery strategy, managing risk and driving performance, while continuing to develop your leadership capability within a supportive and forward‑looking organisation.

  • Leading the operational and strategic delivery of complex engineering projects
  • Managing cost, schedule, quality and risk to maintain controlled outcomes
  • Collaborating with engineering, commercial and programme teams across design, build and integration phases
  • Engaging with customers and senior stakeholders, providing clear governance and reporting
  • Driving continuous improvement through lessons learned and project best practice

This role is full time, 37 hours per week and provides hybrid working arrangements with 2/3 days onsite and 2/3 days working from home.

Essential experience of the Senior Project Manager

  • Proven experience managing complex design, build and integration projects
  • Experience leading multidisciplinary teams within a matrix environment
  • Strong financial, schedule and risk management capability
  • Experience reporting to, and influencing, senior internal and external stakeholders
  • Background within defence, security or similarly regulated sectors

Qualifications for the Senior Project Manager

The successful candidate must be able to achieve and maintain Security Check (SC) / Developed Vetting (DV) security clearance for this role. UK National only.
