The role
As a Senior Project Controller, you’ll have a role that’s out of the ordinary. You’ll be at the heart of one of the UK’s most exciting marine programmes – Type 31. You’ll play a pivotal role in ensuring our projects are delivered on time, within budget and to the highest standards. This is your opportunity to make a real impact in defence, aerospace and engineering – industries that protect communities and shape the future.
Day-to-day you’ll be:
- Developing and maintaining programme baselines and schedules across a portfolio of projects
- Monitoring project status and presenting performance data to internal and external stakeholders
- Liaising with Project Managers to review and track project schedules
- Ensuring accurate data is available for weekly and monthly reporting cycles
- Creating and implementing management reports and performance metrics
This role is full time, 36 hours per week Monday to Friday and provides hybrid working arrangements.
Essential experience of the Senior Project Controller
- Substantial experience in a project control environment
- Skilled in project planning, tracking and reporting tools and techniques
- Proficient in SAP systems, Primavera P6, and Deltek/Cobra
- Strong analytical, problem-solving and quality assurance capabilities
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and lead
Qualifications for the Senior Project Controller
- While no formal qualifications are essential, candidates with relevant professional certifications or training in project controls will be at an advantage.
Security Clearance
The successful candidate must be able to achieve and maintain Security Check (SC) security clearance for this role.
