The role

As a Senior Cyber Threat Intelligence Analyst, you’ll be responsible for identifying, analysing and reporting cyber threats that could impact Babcock’s people, information, systems, programmes and customers. You will transform complex threat data into actionable intelligence that supports proactive cyber defence, incident response, vulnerability management and risk reduction activities across the organisation.

Day-to-day, you’ll work closely with Security Operations, Incident Response, Security Assurance and business stakeholders, you'll help strengthen our ability to anticipate, detect and respond to emerging cyber threats. This is an exciting opportunity to influence cyber resilience at enterprise scale while working with experienced cyber security professionals on challenges that genuinely matter.

  • Producing actionable cyber threat intelligence to support proactive cyber defence activities.
  • Analysing threat actor activity, malware campaigns, phishing threats and emerging cyber risks.
  • Collaborating with Security Operations, Incident Response and Security Assurance teams to improve cyber resilience.
  • Creating high-quality intelligence assessments and reports that support business decision-making.
  • Monitoring the evolving threat landscape and identifying threats relevant to Babcock's operations and customers.

This role is full time, 37.5 hours per week and provides hybrid working arrangements.

Essential experience of the Senior Cyber Threat Intelligence Analyst

  • Experience within Cyber Security Operations, Threat Intelligence or Incident Response environments.
  • Strong understanding of the Threat Intelligence Lifecycle, Cyber Kill Chain and MITRE ATT&CK Framework.
  • Experience analysing security events, threat intelligence data and cyber threat trends.
  • Strong research, analytical and critical thinking skills.
  • Experience producing clear written intelligence products for technical and non-technical audiences.

Qualifications for the Senior Cyber Threat Intelligence Analyst

Essential

  • Relevant cyber security experience supported by industry-recognised cyber security qualifications.

Desirable

  • Certified Threat Intelligence Analyst
  • GIAC Cyber Threat Intelligence
  • GIAC Certified Incident Handler
  • CompTIA Security+
  • Certified Information Systems Security Professional (or working towards)
  • Microsoft Security Operations Analyst Certification SC-200

Security Clearance

The successful candidate must be a sole UK national who is able to achieve and maintain Developed Vetting (DV) security clearance for this role.
