The role

As a Facility Integration Manager, you’ll play a pivotal role in shaping the future of our Radioactive Waste Management (RWM) capability at Devonport. You’ll help drive a programme of essential upgrades across critical infrastructure that supports the UK’s submarine enterprise, work that has national importance and long‑term impact.

Day-to-day, you’ll be instrumental in creating and managing a structured approach to capturing, prioritising and delivering facility upgrade demands, ensuring our operations and maintenance activities continue safely while improvements are delivered.

  • Create, implement and manage a structured process for capturing and prioritising facility upgrade demands.
  • Lead the integration of multiple upgrade workstreams, overseeing schedules, risks, dependencies and progress.
  • Facilitate clear and consistent communication with internal teams and external stakeholders.
  • Ensure the safe and coordinated delivery of upgrade activities while minimising impact on operations and maintenance.
  • Provide regular internal and external reporting on RWM facility upgrade progress.

This role is full time, 35 hours per week and is based on site at Devonport Royal Dockyard.

Essential experience of the Facility Integration Manager

  • Strong leadership capability with proven stakeholder management skills.
  • Confident communicator able to work effectively with diverse teams and senior stakeholders.
  • Extensive experience in project management and project controls (cost, risk, schedules).
  • Experience working in a nuclear facility or similarly highly regulated environment (desirable).

Qualifications for the Facility Integration Manager

  • NVQ Level 4 in Engineering or demonstrable relevant experience (essential).
  • Level 5 qualification in Engineering (desirable).
  • APM Project Management Qualification (PMQ) (desirable).
  • APM Project Risk Management Level 1 (desirable).

Security Clearance

The successful candidate must be a sole UK National who is able to achieve and maintain Naval Nuclear Propulsion Information (NNPPI) Security clearance for this role.
