Lead a major digital transformation programme supporting the future of the Naval Nuclear Enterprise

As a Project Manager, you’ll play a key role in delivering the MAS9 Project, a major transformation programme focused on implementing a dedicated Enterprise Asset Management solution for the Naval Nuclear Enterprise. This programme will help modernise asset management capability, strengthen governance and support future operational requirements across a critical national infrastructure environment.
Day-to-day, you’ll coordinate project activities, manage governance and reporting, and engage with a wide range of stakeholders to ensure successful delivery. This is an excellent opportunity to work on a strategically important programme while developing your project leadership capabilities within the defence, engineering and technology sectors. Your work will directly contribute to delivering sustainable business change and enhanced operational performance.
- Managing project governance, reporting, risks, issues, assumptions and dependencies throughout the project lifecycle.
- Coordinating cross-functional teams to deliver project objectives in line with agreed scope, budget and schedule.
- Developing and maintaining project plans, documentation, financial information and delivery reporting.
- Engaging with programme teams, senior stakeholders and delivery partners to support successful project outcomes.
- Supporting compliance with regulatory requirements and ensuring effective project controls are maintained.
This role is full time, and is based on site at HMNB Clyde, in Helensburgh, Argyll and Bute.
Essential experience of the Project Manager
- Experience managing large-scale information technology or digital transformation projects within complex environments.
- Experience in project governance, reporting and stakeholder management, including engagement with senior stakeholders.
- Experience within an information technology, software development or technical support environment.
- Experience leading project teams and coordinating cross-functional activities to deliver successful outcomes.
- Experience managing project risks, issues, dependencies and delivery schedules within regulated environments.
Qualifications for the Project Manager
Essential
- Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Business Management or an equivalent discipline.
Preferred
- Project Management certification such as PMP, PRINCE2 or Agile.
- Understanding of recognised project delivery methodologies including Agile, Scrum and Waterfall.
- Experience using project management and planning tools such as Azure DevOps, Microsoft Project and related reporting solutions.

The successful candidate must be a sole UK National who is able to achieve and maintain Security Check (SC) security clearance for this role.
